The Ascent Half Shell is a great mid-layer combination of 275 GSM fleece and soft-shell. It has a well-shaped and useful hood with 3 points of adjustment, a zipped chest pocket to keep your valuables safe, elasticated cuffs and hem, and zipped hand warmer pockets. Combining the warmth of fleece with the sturdiness and wind resistance of softshell is a no-brainer. It gives you a warm but hard-wearing garment that will serve well as a mid-layer/outer layer depending on the weather conditions. The top half utilises our grid back soft-shell, while the remainder of the garment features the well-known Southern Star fleece pile, resulting in a great quality and purposeful top that can be paired with any of our excellent shell layer garments.
