The Bastard No. 1 is a blended malt whisky, crafted by Whisky Dudes. This unique blend combines whiskies from Glenrothes, Macallan, and Highland Park, also known as the Edrington blend. The whisky was distilled on July 3, 2009, and initially matured in a refill sherry butt. On November 16, 2020, it was transferred to a fresh tawny port hogshead (#21A) for further maturation. The whisky was bottled on March 1, 2022, at a cask strength of 63.3%, with only 315 bottles produced. “A beautifully balanced blend, one you don’t come across often”.
